Friday we took Savannah to get her 1 month pictures taken at the mall. She was pretty good the whole time. Not too many wig out moments, thanks to having a bottle handy to snuff out the tears. The other pictures are in the photo section.

Well this weekend was our annual spring camping/biking trip in New Glarus WI. We have been going on this camping trip for well over 29 years. I remember hearing that my mom was 9 months pregnant with me and riding the bike trail with me hanging there in her belly. Well, this year, we planned it right so Heather wouldn’t be pregnant when we went camping. Instead we had a 3.5 week old baby to bring with us. It was kinda cool to have three generations there on the trip. Hopefully Savannah will like camping with us while growing up and will continue the tradition.

There’s something odd about bringing a new born baby into a bar, yet we were in Wisconsin, so that’s pretty much the norm. Because she was so small, we decided not to camp this year and just came up Saturday morning for the bakery and biking, and bar hopping. Given the heat and questionable weather, it was a good choice to not camp overnight. Storms came in pretty hard Saturday afternoon so we ended up leaving early in a downpour.

We plan on doing more camping this summer with Savannah. Our neighbor has a pop up camper that we can borrow and plan on doing so. Once we get into a regular house we plan on buying our own pop up camper.
